Eljas Liinamaa is a 32-year-old theater director from Helsinki, but as a child he wanted to be a daydreamer - or as we say in Finland, "a painter of the sky". Eljas points out that his wish did indeed come true. Currently he's preparing a production for Jyväskylän kaupunginteatteri. The premier is in Autumn. Eljas is also making plans for new projects and grant applications.
- What's good and what's not-so-good about being a director?
The "work" penetrates your entire life and is purely temporary, occasional and fleeting. Whether this is a happy or a bad thing depends on the day. Mostly happy.
- What other interests or hobbies do you have?
Hiking, band, choir, singing and piano.
- Tell us something about yourself that others don't necessarily know!
I am my mother's 7½th
cousin, and thus my own 7¾th cousin. Long live genealogy.
